B24 Sirio (1982), a two-seater sports saloon and the first production diesel engined car reaching 125 mph.
Built at the end of 1979, This sportscar was first officially unveiled at the Geneva Show in January 1981. Born as an experimentation mule with the purpose of testing new technologies like the new air-liquid intercooler, it was the first diesel road vehicle to exceed 200 Km/h. Sirio is its nickname. The vehicle saw a successful small run in the United States, with nine cars produced. Some exemplars were equipped with the Lancia Gamm engine (2500cc) and called BT 424.
